Heart-Eater

Heart-Eater, named Hollow, a Mystery and accompanying group storyline for The Far Roofs. Made for the Rooftop Library Jam.

Vilensky mourned the death of his beloved. He refused food and drink, and slept very little, and then Heart-Eater came.

"Bring them back to me," Vilensky begged, his voice hoarse with tears.

"This thing I can do," Heart-Eater answered, "but not without price."

Vilensky agreed, for no cost could be too great, and Heart-Eater drank—

A rat returned from the dead that day, but love died in their place.

This is a homebrew Mystery and group storyline for The Far Roofs by Jenna Moran. Concepts, mechanics, and style found within are taken from that source, or strongly inspired by it, but the character of Heart-Eater and the story Nevermore are original creations.
